“We're commanded to terrorize the disbelievers” - America's Homegrown Jihadists

The quote is from a Muslim. That may not surprise you. The quote is from an American Muslim. Harder to swallow - but not unbelievable. The quote is from an American Muslim spreading this kind of message openly and loudly on the streets of New York and in interviews with CNN.

I don’t know about you but to me that gets a little creepy.

We should give some credit to Anderson Cooper. While it was hard to avoid, Cooper didn’t pull any politically correct punches. Even the head-in-the-sand-media won’t attempt to place pretty flowers and moonbeams on this one. I just about got the impression that CNN is truly floored by this shocking revelation and I think that I actually believe they are being honest when they pretend that there is no such thing as an Islamic threat. That, or perhaps it’s the open hostility toward President Obama that woke them up.

The quote is from Younes Abdullah Mohammed of Revolution Muslim, an organization with followers who –

  • “love Osama Bin Laden. I love him like I can't begin to tell you because I haven't seen that he's really done anything wrong from the Sharia. I love him like -- more than I love myself” – Yousef al-Khattab
  • “would like to see Israel wiped off the map. I would like to see a mushroom cloud over it” - al-Khattab
  • asks, “is Obama a murderer, a tyrant, a scum bag? Absolutely, he is. If they killed him, would I shed a tear? Absolutely I would not. Would I incite his murder? That's not what we -- we don't preach that” – al-Khattab
  • declares that they “see Obama as the enemy he really is. That you see the United States as the enemy it really is” - unidentified Revolution Muslim

These Muslim converts, born and raised either in the US or Israel, confess a hatred for the United States, that runs as deep as anything we’d find in backward, brainwashed theocracies in the Middle East. On their own website, they refer to Nidal Malik Hasan, the butcher-coward who killed and wounded dozens at Fort Hood, TX as “An Officer and a Gentleman”.

These clowns stand out on the street in New York in front of a seemingly popular and peaceful mosque whose own Islamic interpretations differ vastly from Revolution Muslim and don’t appear to care for or welcome these peddlers of venom, these fools who can legally preach their hate against this country precisely because this country gives them legal cover to do so. It’s the same politically correct garbage that appears to have allowed Hasan the room he needed to build up his confidence before carrying out his targeted massacre of unarmed soldiers.

Obviously authorities have to do a better and more vigilant job monitoring and responding to Revolution Muslim than they did with an army major who, as Mark Steyn put it, all but carried a large neon sign over his head saying “JIHADIST: STAND WELL BACK”. Yousef al-Khattab should turn on his kitchen light and find an FBI agent hiding in his corn flakes.

9/11 was only eight years ago and this country showed raw determination…not at striking back, not at desecrating the ideology that produce 9/11, not at demonstrating to the world what happens when you attack the United States…but rather a raw determination to forget that this horrific event even took place. We now promote crazy, homicidal maniacs to officer positions in the service. Why? Because he’s Muslim and we have to bend over backward to show how tolerant and bygone-be-bygone we are about that little incident in September of 2001.

We take Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the guilty designer of the biggest attack on US soil in American history and instead of a quick military trial and execution, we award him (and others) with accommodations, a global platform to spew his nonsense, a shot at acquittal and most infuriating, the legal rights and protections granted to American citizens, not those who mass murder American citizens from afar.

It's almost as if the Obama Administration and Eric Holder considered how amusing it was when obviously still sensitive and jittery New Yorkers reacted to Air Force One and a couple of fighter jets buzzing the Statue of Liberty. So let's give them a scenario that opens old wounds and creates a security nightmare for the city, just blocks from what used to be some of the biggest buildings in the world.

And why is the Administration determined to put on this circus? Apparently so Obama can claim that he hasn't broken EVERY promise he's made to the American people and this foolish maneuver will help him close Gitmo.

I have one lasting concern about the Fort Hood massacre, one of those side thoughts that pop in my head from time to time, I consider it for a minute and then put away again: Hasan achieved mass murder because he was alone. Terrorist plots in the US, successful and unsuccessful, have occurred (and most often stopped) as large, elaborate, structured plans where plenty of opportunities for exposure to authorities exists.

But how do you stop a lone gunman? Someone who could enter the country legally, work, stay quiet, slowly purchase a gun or two and enough ammo to carry you through to the end…and find a target. No outside contacts, no special materials needed, no co-conspirators to work with. And all you really have to do is not be so obvious, as Hasan was.

Or be as obvious as you can, as Hasan was! At least we don’t have this concern regarding Revolution Muslim - they are right out in the open, for better or for worse.

2008 Campaign: Obama Spoke Out Against Government-Mandated Health Insurance

"[Hillary Clinton would] have the government force that every individual buy insurance and I don’t have such a mandate because I don’t think the problem is that people don’t want health insurance, it’s that they can’t afford it. I focus more on lowering costs." - Barack Obama 02/28/2008 (2008 campaign interview with Ellen DeGeneres)

The following are some images captured from the Obama campaign from early 2008 attacking his then opponent Hillary Clinton and the notion of having the federal government force people to purchase health care coverage. In a nutshell, he seemed quite opposed to the idea, citing the belief that it would punish people who may not be able to afford insurance, suggesting that his focus would be to make it more affordable.

As seems the case with virtually every position, Obama the president has a different agenda than Obama the candidate. Why hasn't the president spoken out against mandatory health care coverage and simply says that this is the wrong approach, as he seemed so sure of during the campaign? In the quote above, Obama himself says that he won't force people into a program but instead his focus will be on lowering costs.

Understand this: during the campaign - last year - he saw a contradiction between government mandates and affordability. Today we should be questioning what his intentions are. Are they still to lower costs and make it affordable for all or is it to get as many Americans under the heavy thumb of government as possible? And if he rejected mandates in the past because they didn't address the affordability issue, then is that no longer his concern?
